Celebrate National 211 Day!

Published January 17, 2023

On February 11th, the nation joins together to celebrate the life enhancing services of 211 call centers. National 211 Day is an annual event organized to educate citizens across the country about the health and human services information and referrals that are available 24 hours a day by contacting 211. It’s also a day set aside to honor the individuals behind this crucial community assistance.

The Community Resource Specialists at Wyoming 211 work diligently to connect our Wyoming neighbors to the help they need. But don’t take our word for it. Here is a client’s first impression after calling, “I was in a panic. I didn’t know what to do! Then, Josie answered my call. She calmed me down and was right away friendly. She pointed me in the right direction and referred me to the services that I needed.”

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon understands the important work Wyoming 211 does every day. Last year, Governor Gordon commemorated National 211 day by signing a proclamation declaring February 11th as “2-1-1 Day”. This year on February 11th, we are partnering with Black Tooth Brewing Company in Cheyenne, Casper and Sheridan to spread the good news about the special work being done at Wyoming 211. So stop by the nearest Black Tooth Brewing Company and share a brew in support of our efforts to provide needed services for our community.
