We are gearing up for a busy February! National 211 Day is right around the corner on February 11th. 211 Day is an annual event designed to help inform people across the nation about non-emergency health and human services information and referrals that are available by contacting 211. We have the honor of being recognized by Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon who will be signing a proclamation on Friday, February 16th 2024 at 2:00pm declaring February 11th as “211 Day”. Please join us at the Capitol to celebrate the comprehensive statewide provider of information and referral that is Wyoming 211. Learn more about National 211 Day here.
In addition to the Governor’s proclamation signing, we will be celebrating 211 day early with a fundraiser at Black Tooth Brewing Company- Cheyenne. On Saturday, February 10th from 2:11pm-11:00pm, Black Tooth Brewing Company is donating $1 to Wyoming 211 for every beer sold! Come learn how Wyoming 211 helps connect our Wyoming neighbors to essential services.
Wyoming 211 will be hosting a Nonpartisan Legislative Lunch on Friday, February 23rd. We plan to use this time with the legislators to report on how Wyoming 211 has been utilizing our ARPA funding allocated to us by the Wyoming State Legislature. We look forward to sharing on our advancements in technology and offerings, relationship and partnership expansion, our new community information exchange- CommuniCare, the extensive marketing and outreach efforts and much more.
We were also selected by Jenn Albert, bartender for the Paris West– Cheyenne, as the nonprofit organization to benefit from her Wishful Wednesday fundraiser for the month of February. Wyoming 211’s Cheyenne friends, please join us on Wednesday, February 28th from 5pm-9pm at Paris West where Jenn has graciously offered to donate all tips generated from the evening to Wyoming 211. February brings so many fun ways to celebrate Wyoming 211’s connections to community, health and disaster services. Please consider joining us for the festivities!
